Sweet First Birthday Session | Rockwall Photo Studio
I have taken pictures of this little guy’s cousins (all girls) many times – it was really fun to meet him, and especially to be able to watch him dig into some cake at the studio! We also figured out we could use the side of our building for walking shots – those were my favorites from the session!
By the way, have you ever seen anything cuter than this kissy-face?

Miss Sadie | Rockwall Lifestyle Photographer
I’m going to warn you upfront – I’m over-sharing from this session. This was Sadie’s last session from her baby plan, and I love that her Mama said to me “I’m open – is there anything creative you’ve been wanting to do?”… I mean really – you can’t say that to a photographer and not mean it… I suggested I come to their house on a weekday morning, and spend some time with Sadie in her own environment. We let her eat some cake (after all, this was her 1st birthday session), then I tagged along when she got cleaned up, and then we headed to this DREAM of a play room, where gorgeous light was coming in… If you look at nothing else – page down to the last set of images – because this was that ‘not planned’ last minute inspiration – to ask her Mama to read to her, and it was magic! I hope to be able to photograph more babies and kids in this way – they just seem so natural in their own house, and I get to see little bits of personality that I may miss at the studio!
First, she had cake… Mmmm…
Next – a bath was definitely called for…
Then some play time…
And lastly – reading a book with Mom…

Cousins Portraits | Rockwall Photo Studio
What an awesome idea this Grandma had – she brought in all three of her granddaughters, and we took some holiday portraits of them together, and also separately, and she then was able to give beautiful wall portraits to each of her kids for Christmas! These girls are just as cute as can be, and I can’t wait to see how much they grow by NEXT Christmas!

A special family | Rockwall Downtown
Wow – I haven’t blogged in over a month – guess I didn’t get caught up after all, did I? Today I’m sharing a mini-session I did for this awesome family in November – Miss Sadie is a baby planner (actually a graduate at this point!) – and this was the first time I got to see her new skill (walking) – and she was QUICK! My favorite shot is of her and her Mom, which was a last minute grab at the end – those are always my favorites – when we are just about done, and I have a vision for something spur of the moment – I loved it even on the back of the camera!

Tobiah | Rockwall Baby Photo Studio
You may remember Tobiah if you’ve been to my studio in the last couple months – an image from his 4-month session hangs there, and is the first thing people notice when they walk in! Maybe you can guess why….
I was thrilled that he came back in (and never fear – his Momma signed him up for the baby plan, so you’ll get to see him AGAIN soon – yay!). He’s so sweet and loving, and also happens to be a very handsome model… I couldn’t narrow it down to just a couple – so here you go – SEVERAL from his session last month…

Peek-A-Boo Avenue | Rockwall Commercial Photographer
Have you discovered Rockwall’s most adorable children’s boutique, Peek-A-Boo Avenue? It’s located behind Sabrina’s Flowers in the RidgePointe Athletic complex. I was thrilled to work with the owners on a contest for the search for their next “Peek-A-Boo Baby”. They had tons of submissions, and narrowed the finalists to five – and those five got to come see me for a photo shoot showcasing some of the adorable clothes from the boutique. Pictures from those shoots then went online on their Facebook page, and the voting was FIERCE! In the end, Sophie was victorious, and was rewarded with a beautiful 16×20 canvas, and is also being featured on Peek-A-Boo’s new billboard on I-30W near FM-549! Here’s a picture of the billboard – SO adorable!

Austin | Rockwall Baby Photographer
Sweet Austin was suppose to come in for a newborn session, but he had to be rushed to surgery the day before. Thank goodness he is doing great now – we postponed until he was 3 months old, so we could get those more alert shots of him… He is so adorable – I can’t get over his hair! And the eyes… I could go on… But instead, I’ll share a few from his session…

Ferris | Family Photography | Harry Myers Park
I don’t want to sound like I’m playing favorites – because truly, I have the cutest clients – but isn’t Ferris breathtakingly beautiful? We did this session when she was ten months old, and I was in love with the images from the moment I got home and quickly loaded them to the computer. That family shot is honestly one of my favorites to date – seriously. I could have posted her entire session here, but I was able to pare it down to these after much internal debate!
P.S. Did I mention that, in addition to it being my Kate’s 4th birthday today, that today is also Miss Ferris’s birthday as well? Happy Birthday sweet girls!

Sadie | Rockwall Baby Photography
Sweet Sadie is one of my baby planners – I’ve been lucky enough to photograph her as a newborn, a 3 month old, and now at 7 months. She’s as cute as can be, and luckily came prepared with plenty of smiles to share (and some adorable outfits to boot!). You might recognize her, if you’ve been driving on I-30 heading West toward Rockwall, recently – she’s showing off one of these outfits on a billboard for Peek-A-Boo Avenue, Rockwall’s newest children’s boutique, located behind Sabrina’s Flowers in the Ridge Pointe Athletic building.
