The ‘rents… (Grandparents, in this case) | Heath, TX Photographer
Not sure how many of you know this – but I’m not a native Texan – I was born and raised near Chicago, Illinois. I love my Texas home – but do miss being able to see my family as regularly as I’d like! The good news is – my family is able to come visit a few times each year, and we get uninterrupted time together – which sometimes feels more substantial than just seeing them for an hour here and there! On this visit (back in July) we went to the park and took some portraits, and also played around in the pool – so thought I’d share both here! This was Emma’s birthday week – the big ’6′ – so these can’t count for her birthday portraits, since I still haven’t done them…. right???

Happy Father’s Day | Rockwall Family Pictures
Another post of ‘mine’ – can you tell I’m still behind? This one is from Father’s Day, when I forced my family out into the backyard for five minutes to get these shots. We made my husband a framed gift where there were two sheets my daughters made, and a third opening for a picture – so I wanted to get one ON the day to put in there. We ended up choosing a silly one – because that’s how this crew is when together!

First Day of School | mine | The Fulton School
I am loving all the ‘first day of school’ pictures all over Facebook this morning! My girls started last week Wednesday, but I knew it was the first day for RISD today, when my commute to Fulton went from 4 minutes up to 19 minutes! I hope your kids have as great a first day as mine did – here are some snaps from last Wednesday of mine:

Family of Six | Harry Myers Park Family Pictures
I’ve known this family for more than a year now, and couldn’t wait to get them in front of the camera – they are one of the best looking families – all the kids look alike, but are all gorgeous in their own individual ways as well. Daughter #2 goes to school with my youngest, and it was really neat to see her interacting with her brothers and sister!

This was my THIRD family with three young boys within just a few weeks of each other. Since I have girls myself – I enjoy getting a glimpse into what life is like with boys – and let me assure you – there is never a dull moment. These particular boys are so so handsome, and when you pair that with complete sweetness – you can’t lose.

Mine again | Heath Family Photographer
I decided to start sharing a bit more of my family here on the blog – because I’ve really enjoyed reading blogs where you get to learn something personal about the blogger, and I want you to know a bit more about me! Getting to know my clients on a personal level is something I love doing, and it always helps me to get those more ‘real’ moments during our portrait session.
These images are from September. The first set are from Kate’s 3rd birthday session – she looked so much more grown up to me than in past portraits – three is such a milestone! The second set are some random snaps of my family, to share with you. My Mom, husband and Dad are in these, and of course – my kids… Maybe in my next post I’ll actually share some more of ME… Ha!

Corbin & Chandler | Cousins | Rockwall-Heath Senior Photographer
It’s always more fun when you have some extra peeps along during a senior shoot – lots of laughs, and plenty of people to hold the lighting equipment! I got the unique opportunity to photograph cousins, who will both be graduating this year from Rockwall-Heath High School. These two share a special bond, and I was honored to be able to capture them both individually, as well as grab a few of them together. I hope they’ll cherish these as they get older!

Landry – one year | Heath Baby Photographer
Landry has been with me as a baby planner since last year – she has grown so much! One of the things I love so much about the baby plan, is that I get to see my babies every six months, and see how much they’ve changed, and all the new things they can do. This little one is such a stunning beauty, too – check her out…

Happy Birthday John! | Rockwall Photographer
John is one of my baby planners, and I was fortunate to carve time out of their birthday party day (held on his actual birthday!) to capture John on his birthday, and to capture some of the party atmosphere. It was awesome to get a glimpse into his family and friends – he is so loved by everyone, and it was great fun to see part of his birthday celebration!
