Sweet First Birthday Session | Rockwall Photo Studio
I have taken pictures of this little guy’s cousins (all girls) many times – it was really fun to meet him, and especially to be able to watch him dig into some cake at the studio! We also figured out we could use the side of our building for walking shots – those were my favorites from the session!
By the way, have you ever seen anything cuter than this kissy-face?

What Family Looks Like | Downtown Rockwall Family Photographer
Meet the J family. They are not just clients – they are family friends. Also – they are the VERY first family that ever let me take family portraits (and newborn portraits, now that I’m thinking about it!), and I’m forever grateful at what that has allowed me to do. When you are around them, you wish you were part of their family, and that speaks volumes. Scroll down to see their first family portrait from 2008 – we’ve both come a long way!
Holiday Pajamas Portraits | Rockwall Photo Studio
I can’t believe I haven’t blogged this yet – this was an event I’d been wanting to do for a while, and I LOVE how it turned out! A simple white background, and I invited kids to come in their holiday pajamas, and let their colorful clothes and adorable personalities shine! I am already planning next year’s event!

Fall Portraits at Harry Myers Park | Rockwall Photographer
This super nice family took advantage of our fall family mini sessions at Harry Myers Park at the end of November – and I’m not sure I’ve photographed a little boy with more energy! I had a great time, and love their portraits!
Cousins Portraits | Rockwall Photo Studio
What an awesome idea this Grandma had – she brought in all three of her granddaughters, and we took some holiday portraits of them together, and also separately, and she then was able to give beautiful wall portraits to each of her kids for Christmas! These girls are just as cute as can be, and I can’t wait to see how much they grow by NEXT Christmas!

Celia | 1 month new | Rockwall Newborn Photographer
I know, I know – I tell you guys all the time – the ideal time for newborn portraits is between 7-10 days of age. I also totally get that it’s not the first thing on everyone’s mind as they are adjusting to life with a new baby! While it’s IDEAL for sleepy pictures at less than two weeks old – know this… I’m stubborn. I will create gorgeous portraits, even if you bring baby in at 1 month old, like sweet Celia. The bonus is – I got some wide awake shots, which are not typical for a newborn session – and we were fortunate enough that she also fell asleep at the end and gave us adorable sleeping pictures – so the best of both worlds! I can’t wait to watch Celia grow over this next year – those eyes are captivating!
Brand New | Rockwall Newborn Photography
In the middle of the rush of family sessions in November, it was so nice to be able to take the time to welcome this sweetie to the world with her first photo shoot. I was also thrilled that we were able to do a few family portraits – so special, especially before the holidays! Isn’t she darling?

Will | Rockwall High School Senior Pictures
I have photographed Will’s baby sister (now 5!) several times – it was a fun change of pace to take her 18-year old brother out for some picture fun! Will has a lot of school pride, so we thought it was appropriate to incorporate the school at the beginning of the shoot – and that first image is one of my favorites! We ventured to downtown Rockwall after we left the school – so many fun places to use for a senior!

Winter Wonderland | Rockwall Holiday Portraits
I am absolutely in love with our Winter Wonderland set that we used for holiday studio mini’s this year! I have since used it for a newborn, as well as another family’s studio pictures – I love that it’s not limited to just Christmas pictures, but can also work for winter – even January – and it’s mostly neutral, which lets the kids shine, which is really the point, isn’t it?

Sweet Baby Kate | Rockwall Newborn Photographer
Kate was the first of three newborn baby girls I had the joy to photograph in November – and she brought along her big sister and big brother as well, who are equally as photogenic! I was thrilled that she stayed awake for us, even while posing – which is very rare for tiny ones to do – she’s just too sweet for words!
