Holiday Pajamas Portraits | Rockwall Photo Studio
I can’t believe I haven’t blogged this yet – this was an event I’d been wanting to do for a while, and I LOVE how it turned out! A simple white background, and I invited kids to come in their holiday pajamas, and let their colorful clothes and adorable personalities shine! I am already planning next year’s event!

Celia | 1 month new | Rockwall Newborn Photographer
I know, I know – I tell you guys all the time – the ideal time for newborn portraits is between 7-10 days of age. I also totally get that it’s not the first thing on everyone’s mind as they are adjusting to life with a new baby! While it’s IDEAL for sleepy pictures at less than two weeks old – know this… I’m stubborn. I will create gorgeous portraits, even if you bring baby in at 1 month old, like sweet Celia. The bonus is – I got some wide awake shots, which are not typical for a newborn session – and we were fortunate enough that she also fell asleep at the end and gave us adorable sleeping pictures – so the best of both worlds! I can’t wait to watch Celia grow over this next year – those eyes are captivating!

Winter Wonderland | Rockwall Holiday Portraits
I am absolutely in love with our Winter Wonderland set that we used for holiday studio mini’s this year! I have since used it for a newborn, as well as another family’s studio pictures – I love that it’s not limited to just Christmas pictures, but can also work for winter – even January – and it’s mostly neutral, which lets the kids shine, which is really the point, isn’t it?

Tobiah | Rockwall Baby Photo Studio
You may remember Tobiah if you’ve been to my studio in the last couple months – an image from his 4-month session hangs there, and is the first thing people notice when they walk in! Maybe you can guess why….
I was thrilled that he came back in (and never fear – his Momma signed him up for the baby plan, so you’ll get to see him AGAIN soon – yay!). Ballerina Portraits | Rockwall Dance Photographer | Dance Techniques
Ballerina Portraits has become a tradition here – we had our third annual event last month, and it was a huge hit! We had several little girls come back for the third year in a row – such a special thing to watch them grow! A HUGE thank you to my friend, Tiffany Edwards, who is a wonderful dance teacher and owner of Dance Techniques – who every year does this event with me, working all day posing little girls, giving them ‘smellies’ and making them feel beautiful, special and loved. Happy Halloween! | Open House benefitting Rockwall Women In Need, Inc.
Our first annual Halloween Open House benefitting Women In Need, Inc. was a huge success! All proceeds from the event will be presented to Women In Need this week – and we managed to raise….. drum roll please… $530!!! I’m so so excited to present this to them, and to also see what other ways we can help in the future. One thing is for sure – we are DEFINITELY doing this again next year – the ideas are already rolling around my head for a new set! And a huge thank you to Jenny Hite, owner of Wee Dreamscapes, for hosting this event with me. She and her staff and helpers kept kiddos busy and entertained with games, coloring and crafts while I was photographing the kiddos – we were a sight in our costumes, and are already making plans for next year – can’t wait to watch this event grow!
