I am absolutely in love with our Winter Wonderland set that we used for holiday studio mini’s this year! I have since used it for a newborn, as well as another family’s studio pictures – I love that it’s not limited to just Christmas pictures, but can also work for winter – even January – and it’s mostly neutral, which lets the kids shine, which is really the point, isn’t it?

You may remember Tobiah if you’ve been to my studio in the last couple months – an image from his 4-month session hangs there, and is the first thing people notice when they walk in! Maybe you can guess why….
I was thrilled that he came back in (and never fear – his Momma signed him up for the baby plan, so you’ll get to see him AGAIN soon – yay!). He’s so sweet and loving, and also happens to be a very handsome model… I couldn’t narrow it down to just a couple – so here you go – SEVERAL from his session last month…

Ballerina Portraits has become a tradition here – we had our third annual event last month, and it was a huge hit! We had several little girls come back for the third year in a row – such a special thing to watch them grow! A HUGE thank you to my friend, Tiffany Edwards, who is a wonderful dance teacher and owner of Dance Techniques – who every year does this event with me, working all day posing little girls, giving them ‘smellies’ and making them feel beautiful, special and loved. I could not do this event without her – truly! We had a great turnout this year, so I can’t share every face in this blog post – but here are a few…

Sweet Ella came in to model some baby portraits for our Halloween Open House last month – and I couldn’t resist getting some non-Halloween shots of her as well – she’s so so adorable! Here are a few…

This sweet sweet family came to see me in September (yep – behind on blogging… AGAIN…) – and big brother was SO excited about his new baby brother, so I had to capture a quick couple of him as well… I’m so sad that this family has moved out of town – I wish them well in El Paso!
As part of my ongoing partnership with Smocked Auctions, I had the pleasure of shooting some commercial images for them, as requested by Papercity Magazine in Dallas. These two giggly girls were the perfect models for the job – you can tell they will be friends for a very long time! Thanks to Nicole & Amy for continuing to trust me with such important assignments as your company continues to grow!

Have you discovered Rockwall’s most adorable children’s boutique, Peek-A-Boo Avenue? It’s located behind Sabrina’s Flowers in the RidgePointe Athletic complex. I was thrilled to work with the owners on a contest for the search for their next “Peek-A-Boo Baby”. They had tons of submissions, and narrowed the finalists to five – and those five got to come see me for a photo shoot showcasing some of the adorable clothes from the boutique. Pictures from those shoots then went online on their Facebook page, and the voting was FIERCE! In the end, Sophie was victorious, and was rewarded with a beautiful 16×20 canvas, and is also being featured on Peek-A-Boo’s new billboard on I-30W near FM-549! Here’s a picture of the billboard – SO adorable!

And here are all five contestants in their adorable glory…

Well – our first year with ‘Back to School’ mini’s was a success! I say ‘first year’ – because I’m definitely going to have to do this again next year – I love seeing all the kids so excited for the first day of school! Here’s a quick sampling from this year’s event:

When I sat down to plan out my fall calendar – I knew I had a lot more opportunities to do some fun events, now that we have our new studio space inside Wee Dreamscapes in Rockwall. When I thought about October, I immediately thought of Halloween – but I didn’t want to just plan more mini-sessions – I wanted to do something more fun! So – Jenny, owner of Wee Dreamscapes, and I put our heads together, and we decided to host a Halloween Open House on Sunday, October 28th from 12-5. I will be available to get a cute shot of your kiddo in their costume – the cost is $15 – and the ENTIRE amount will go to our selected charity – Rockwall’s Women In Need, Inc. We will also have some goody bags and treats to share – so please stop by, even if you don’t have a kiddo to be photographed! Jenny has been busy adding some really cool new inventory in the store – including bath and body care for both babies and mommies, lots of new gift items, etc. – so if you haven’t been in in a while, or have NEVER been in – we’d love to see you!
No appointments necessary – it’s come and go between 12-5 on Sunday, October 28th. Here is a sample of the cute Halloween background we’ll have! For your $15 donation to Women In Need, Inc. – we will provide you with a 5×7 (to be picked up at the studio the following week), and we’ll also be loading all the images from the day into an album on our Facebook page – so you can tag and share with your friends right away!
Little baby Will was sweet enough to bring his doting big brother along for his newborn shoot – they were so darn cute together! And Will already has plenty of personality – you can tell by looking at the images below… Mom & Dad are going to have tons of fun with these two!
