A charity fundraiser benefitting Women In Need, Inc.

Sunday, June 5th at Sarah Duckworth Photography in downtown Rockwall

With your $85 donation to Women in Need, you’ll be pampered with hair and make-up courtesy of Legend Salon, and will have your portrait taken snuggling with your kids.  You’ll receive a fully retouched 8×10 art print of your favorite image.  The ENTIRE $85 will be donated to Women in Need, Inc – helping women right here in our community.

•  Since 2011 over 2500 students in local Rockwall ISD health classes have received education on Teen Dating Violence Awareness through our We Expect Respect Curriculum.   This 5 day curriculum helps students identify what is unhealthy in a relationship and learn why it is important not to ignore those subtle warning signs (red flags).   This program costs about $10 per student and is offered at no charge to Rockwall ISD.
• 881 women and their children received free services through our office that range from legal advocacy to one on one counseling.
• On a weekly basis we were able to provide our clients with 3 group counseling sessions where they can obtain the skills to help them stay out of abusive relationships and increase their self-esteem.
• At Thanksgiving we were able to feed 22 families with the generous donations from the community.
• Every Christmas we will are able to help several single moms give their children a Christmas that otherwise they would not have been able to do.
• Women In Need (Rockwall office) serves 90-100 clients EACH month; offering services such as support groups, crisis intervention, education programs and legal advocacy.
