I was so honored to meet this family - it was so important to Dad to have family portraits done, that he arranged the entire session all the way from Afghanistan!  I realized after I put together their blog collage, that I chose all the candid moments - but that is what makes these types of sessions special, and those are the images that speak to me the most!  Sure, I love to get that gorgeous family portrait with everyone smiling for the camera - but I ADORE getting these moments where you can see the relationships within this family - those are memories they can now look back on and smile!
