I'm going to warn you upfront - I'm over-sharing from this session.  This was Sadie's last session from her baby plan, and I love that her Mama said to me "I'm open - is there anything creative you've been wanting to do?"...  I mean really - you can't say that to a photographer and not mean it...  I suggested I come to their house on a weekday morning, and spend some time with Sadie in her own environment.  We let her eat some cake (after all, this was her 1st birthday session), then I tagged along when she got cleaned up, and then we headed to this DREAM of a play room, where gorgeous light was coming in...  If you look at nothing else - page down to the last set of images - because this was that 'not planned' last minute inspiration - to ask her Mama to read to her, and it was magic!  I hope to be able to photograph more babies and kids in this way - they just seem so natural in their own house, and I get to see little bits of personality that I may miss at the studio!   First, she had cake...  Mmmm...
