Bridger turned three last summer, so in August we took him into downtown Dallas so we could get some of the big buildings into some of our shots with his superhero cape.  He was so much fun – most of the time I don’t know if he even realized I was taking pictures – he ran around and played, and looked up at me when I called his name!  I don’t know how his parents ever say no to those eyes – he is just the sweetest, and I’m glad he lives right next door!  🙂

Now that we are getting closer to summer – I’m starting to think about days being home with my kids, swimming, sundresses and lots of sunshine.  Today I’m sharing images from Lily’s 6-year session at the end of last summer – she’s sun-kissed and sassy – and these are some of my favorites from the last year – I’m already thinking about ideas for when she turns 7!  Lily lives next door and is best friends with both of my daughters – I ADORE watching their relationship grow – it’s kind of like having another sister right next door – they are three peas in a pod when they are together!

Sweet Ayden lives out-of-state – but sometimes when he comes to visit his Grandma here in Rockwall – he comes to see me for updated portraits.  Last August was one of those visits, and he happened to be turning one – so we went to the park (in the heat!) to grab some smiles (and some pensive looks).  He is just one of the sweetest babies ever!  And I forgot how beautiful Harry Myers Park is in the summer – I usually meet my clients EARLY to beat the heat – and it’s completely worth it!

I photographed one of my favorite families last August – this session was dedicated to Mom and her babies – snuggled up in her bedroom playing, reading and loving.  This type of session really allows me to capture more genuine moments, and spectacular smiles and laughs.  I’m hoping to create a set at the studio that looks like a bedroom to be able to invite clients in to experience this type of session right there at the studio.  In the mean time – enjoy the snuggles and laughter!
