As a professional photographer, it's imperative to stay on top of my education.  There are always new innovations, different methods, and just awesome and new ways to be inspired to create a new type of art.  After Dark Education is a wonderful event where hundreds of photographers gather to learn from each other, and from volunteer mentors, who are pioneers in the industry, and who share freely and openly during this event that is truly like no other.  I was considering attending when I heard it would be in Dallas, and was put over the edge when I realized they had chosen the Hilton Bella Harbor, right here in Rockwall, as their venue.  It was amazing!  Here are just a few images from the 3-day event - my mind was spinning afterwards! First - you should know, that I'm a complete sucker for any red-haired baby...  Kinsler was no exception, and I have to say, he was also one of the smiliest babies I've had in the studio in a while!  He was ready for the camera - no coaxing required, and I got some amazing shots of him as a result!  How cute is he? Scarlett is both a sweet sweet little girl, and also a diva at times - my favorite combination!  I got to see both sides of her during our photo session - as you'll see below!  Thank you to her parents for driving over from Mt. Pleasant for their session - it was great to see everyone just 11 months after shooting Scarlett's newborn portraits last year! Little Lulu was one of my newborn clients about 2.5 years ago - and I was thrilled when her mom called me to schedule a family session - I love seeing the little people the babies I photograph have become!  She is adorable, spunky and extremely loved.  Lots of fun at this session - and Harry Myers Park is so beautiful at this time of year (these were taken in May)!
