Emily wrapped up her baby plan at the end of last year with a first birthday session in downtown Waxahachie!  It was appropriate - because her daddy is a fireman there - and aside from that - the downtown area is SO adorable!  I'm so lucky to have a job that allows me to travel around to all different locations and find those little spots that are just perfect for portraits!  We even found a doorway to do our cake smash in at the end of the session - and just after we finished - it started to rain - talk about perfect timing! Ami sellers - Oh my gosh, I love these. Please remember these for when We get Ferris’s one year pictures taken with you.ReplyCancel

In the hustle and bustle of the busy fall portrait season - it's so easy to forget to take the time to shoot for myself - just for the pure joy of it.  Don't get me wrong - I love photographing my clients - but every once in a while - I want to do something different - something that will reflect MY life, and photograph my kids in a way that will remind me years down the road, just how fun and 'bouncy' they were when they were three and five years old.  I'm very behind on blogging - these were taking at the beginning of November last year - just as my crazy busy season was beginning.  I am so glad I took a moment to capture MY kids - something I don't always get a chance to do during that time of year.  And remember - you don't have to be a professional photographer, or even have a fancy camera - to capture your kids right as they are today.  Let them do something naughty (like jumping on the bed) and sit back and capture the natural laughter that ensues... Last year - these handsome boys came to see me - FULL of energy, and excited with the FRESH news that they were going to have a baby sister in the spring.  This year - I was so pleased to be able to photograph them WITH their baby sister!  This is one of the best looking families EVER!  I'm crazy busy this week - so just posting a quick peek at their individual shots... What an exciting time for this family, as they prepare to welcome a new member!  Big brother probably doesn't have a clue that his world is about to change drastically - so glad they took time to enjoy their family of three before welcoming their little girl at the end of the year.  I look forward to meeting her - and will show you her newborn portraits as soon as I can!
